About Us
Terra Firma Bouldering Co. is more than a gym—it’s a community built on joyful effort, meaningful connection, and shared growth. We create a space where climbers of all levels feel welcome, supported, and inspired. Together, we cultivate an experience rooted in care, fueled by joy, and grounded in community.
About the Role
The Community Engagement & Events Coordinator creates memorable experiences that bring Terra Firma’s values to life. This role is responsible for event planning, partnership building, and corporate outreach, ensuring members and community partners experience authentic connection and joy.
Importantly, this role does not handle marketing campaigns, brand messaging, or content creation—those belong to the Head of Marketing & Brand Strategy. Instead, the Coordinator runs the show on the ground: planning and executing events, managing logistics, and building relationships.
Key Responsibilities
1. Event Planning & Execution
Organize and deliver in-gym events (competitions, socials, fundraisers, appreciation nights).
Coordinate off-site outreach events (festivals, school programs, nonprofit collaborations).
Manage event logistics: budgets, schedules, volunteers, and staff support.
Ensure all events are inclusive, safe, and aligned with Terra Firma’s values.
2. Corporate & Community Outreach
Develop partnerships with local businesses for team-building, private group climbs, and sponsorships.
Maintain relationships with schools, nonprofits, and outdoor organizations.
Act as the point person for community and corporate collaborations.
3. Member Engagement
Support youth, family, and member-focused programming.
Gather and act on feedback to improve events and strengthen community connection.
Collaborate with the Programs & Instruction team to align special programming with member needs.
4. Collaboration with Marketing
Provide event details and outcomes for Marketing to promote.
Ensure logistics and delivery of events align with the Terra Firma brand.
Stay aligned with brand standards without duplicating Marketing’s responsibilities.
Success Looks Like
Events run smoothly, are well-attended, and reflect Terra Firma’s mission and values.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
Comfortable managing budgets and logistics.
Energetic, adaptable, and able to work evenings/weekends when events occur.
Passion for climbing, fitness, or outdoor recreation (preferred but not required).
